The Volunteer Tax Assistance Program (VTAP) prepares tax returns free of charge for University of Minnesota students as well as community members with unadjusted gross incomes less than $49,000. It's free, fast, safe, and IRS certified!

We strive to provide the best quality of services. All volunteers must undergo a thorough training process and pass the IRS certification test. We do accept walk-ins, however we highly encourage making an appointment through our appointment system.
